The Fighting Cocks is a friendly, family oriented pub offering an excellent range of food and drink for all ages. We pride ourselves in offering great value for money together with good, amicable service.

Our efforts have resulted in us winning the 2014 Trip Advisor award for excellence. But don't take their word for it, come and see for yourself!


Open daily from 10 AM

We have a great food selection, including a daily specials board and a "lite bites" menu. We also offer delicious Sunday roasts. Finally, don't forget to try our famous homemade short crust pastry pie, it will make your mouth water! We are a big supporter of island produce and many of our meals incorporate locally sourced ingredients.

All day breakfasts served from 10 AM

Our drinks range includes local real ales complemented by a large choice of bottled beers and lagers on tap. There is also a good selection of wines to suit all tastes - by the bottle or glass. In addition there are plenty of soft drinks to choose from, including our new Lavazza fresh coffe range.

Did you know?

The Fighting Cocks was originally built as a farm cottage over 300 years ago and became an "ale house" for the local community with the old "sport" of cock fighting taking place in the adjacent barn, The original building was rebuilt and extended in 1969 after being almost totally destroyed by a fire.
